About Our Loan-Matching Service

Our service is a free online request form that passes your details to lenders in our network. Lenders review each request, set rates and terms, and decide whether to make an offer.

What does this loan request service actually do?

We take one online request and pass it to lenders in our network, who may respond with personal loan offers. You compare what comes back and choose one or decline them all. The page on how our request process works walks through each step.

Are you a direct lender?

No. Our service is a connector and does not make loans or credit decisions. Lenders in our network review requests, set APRs and terms, and fund the personal loans they approve, so your agreement is always with the lender named on your documents.

Does it cost anything to submit a request?

Submitting the request form is free, and you owe nothing if you decline every offer. We may receive compensation from lenders, as our advertiser disclosure explains. Any lender charges, such as an origination fee, appear in the lender’s offer before you sign.

Is your service a cash store?

No. There is no storefront or counter to visit. Our service is an online form that connects you with lenders, and any funds you accept are deposited into your checking account by the lender you choose.

How many lenders might review my request?

Our network includes 24 lenders, but not every lender reviews every request. Lenders are matched by your state, the amount you ask for and your general profile. You may see several offers, one offer or none.

Applying Online for a Personal Loan

Applying takes one online form with your contact details, loan amount, income, bank and identity information. Lenders that can serve your state review it, and any offers you receive carry no obligation to accept.

How long does the online loan request form take?

Most people finish the form in a few minutes when they have their income and bank details at hand. A lender may ask for documents later, such as pay stubs or a bank statement, which can add time before funding.

What information do I need to submit a loan request?

Have your name, date of birth, address, SSN or ITIN, income source, monthly income, checking account details, email and phone ready. You will also choose an amount between $500 and $5,000. Unlike a cash store visit, you do not need to bring paper copies to start. The full list of personal loan eligibility requirements covers age, residency and income rules.

Can I apply for a personal loan from my phone?

Yes. The request form works on phones, tablets and computers over a secure connection. If a lender asks for documents, you can usually photograph them and upload them through the lender’s portal.

Do I have to accept a loan offer once I apply?

No. Sending a request carries no obligation, and you can review each offer and walk away from all of them. You only take on a debt after you sign a loan agreement with a specific lender.

Can I get a personal loan if I am self-employed?

Many lenders accept self-employed and freelance applicants when income is steady and verifiable. Expect to show recent tax returns, 1099 forms or several months of bank statements. Consistent deposits into one checking account help a lender confirm your earnings.

03

Personal Loan Rates, Fees and Total Cost

Lenders in our network typically quote APRs from 5.99% to 35.99% on personal loans of $500 to $5,000 over 3 to 36 months. Your rate depends on credit, income, the amount, the term and your state.

What APR will I get on a personal loan?

The APR you receive depends on your credit, income, debt, the amount, the term and your state. As an estimate, excellent credit often sees about 8% to 15%, while scores below 630 tend to fall between 28% and 35.99%. The rates and APR guide shows what each tier means in dollars.

What is an origination fee, and do all lenders charge one?

An origination fee is a one-time charge, usually about 1% to 10% of the loan amount, that many lenders deduct from your funds. Some lenders charge none. Because the APR includes the fee, comparing APRs is the fairest way to weigh offers with and without one.

How much does a $2,000 personal loan cost per month?

As a representative example, $2,000 over 18 months at 22.99% APR with no origination fee costs about $132.42 a month, or $2,383.56 in total. Over 12 months at the same APR, the estimated payment is $188.14 and the total is $2,257.68. Your offer may differ.

Is there a penalty for paying off a personal loan early?

Many personal loans have no prepayment penalty, but the agreement is the place to confirm it. Paying early on a simple-interest loan usually reduces the total interest you pay. Ask the lender how extra payments are applied before you send one.

04

Credit Scores and Credit Checks

Submitting a request usually starts with soft credit checks that do not affect your score. Lenders consider a range of credit profiles, including fair and poor credit, and your score mainly shapes the APR and amount offered.

Will submitting a loan request hurt my credit score?

Prequalification usually relies on a soft inquiry, which does not change your score. When you move forward with a lender, it may run a hard inquiry, which can lower your score slightly for a short time. Each lender’s disclosure explains when it pulls credit.

Can I get a personal loan with bad credit?

Some lenders in our network consider poor credit, especially with steady income and a healthy bank account. Expect a higher APR, a smaller amount or a shorter term. Approval is never guaranteed, so compare any offer with cash store loans and other options before signing.

Will an on-time personal loan help build my credit?

Many installment lenders report payments to the major credit bureaus, so on-time payments can strengthen your history over time. Late or missed payments can be reported too and may lower your score. Ask a lender whether it reports before you accept.

Can I get a loan with no credit history?

Some lenders work with thin credit files by looking at bank deposits, employment and rent history instead of a score alone. Offers may start smaller. A first personal loan repaid on time can give you the record that future lenders look for.

05

Funding and Repayment

After you accept an offer and finish verification, funds are often deposited the next business day after approval, depending on the lender. You then repay in fixed monthly installments, usually by automatic debit from checking.

How fast will I receive the money after approval?

Many lenders deposit funds the next business day after approval, though timing depends on the lender, your bank and how quickly verification finishes. Weekends and bank holidays can add a day or two. No lender can promise a specific deposit time in advance. A cash store may be faster on the day, but the online route lets you compare the cost first.

How much money can I borrow?

Lenders in our network typically offer $500 to $5,000, depending on your income, credit, existing debt and state rules. Asking for only what you need keeps the payment manageable. The personal loan payment calculator shows estimated payments for different amounts and terms.

How do I make payments on my loan?

Most lenders set up automatic payments from your checking account on a fixed date each month. Many also accept payments through an online account or by check. Payments go to the lender that funded your personal loan, not to our service.

What happens if I miss a loan payment?

A missed payment can bring a late fee, and a payment more than 30 days late may be reported to credit bureaus. If you expect trouble, call the lender before the due date. Some lenders offer a short extension or a revised payment plan for hardship.

06

Privacy and Security

Your request travels over an encrypted connection and is shared with lenders in our network and the service providers needed to process it. Our privacy policy explains what is collected, how it is used and your choices.

How is my personal information protected?

The request form uses an encrypted connection, and access to stored data is limited to people and systems that need it. Never send your SSN or bank login by ordinary email or text. If someone contacts you asking for an upfront fee to release a loan, treat it as a scam.

Is applying online as safe as visiting a cash store?

Both collect similar personal details, including your ID, income and bank information. Online, check that the page address starts with https and avoid public Wi-Fi when entering your SSN. At a counter, make sure copies of your documents are returned or stored securely.

Who receives the information I submit?

Lenders in our network that may be able to serve your state receive your request, along with service providers that verify identity and prevent fraud. A lender you move forward with may also check your credit with a credit bureau. Our privacy policy lists these categories in full.

Will lenders call or email me after I submit a request?

Lenders that review your request may contact you by email, phone or text about your offer or missing details. You can ignore offers you do not want. Lenders must honor your requests to stop marketing messages.

How do I stop marketing emails and texts?

Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or reply STOP to a text message. You can also contact a lender directly and ask to be removed from its marketing lists. Messages tied to an active loan, such as payment reminders, may continue.

Cash Store vs Online Personal Loans

A storefront cash store offers in-person service and often same-day cash, while one online request lets several lenders compete with installment offers. Comparing APR and total cost shows which option costs less for you.

Is there a cash store near me that offers installment loans?

Some storefronts offer small installment loans alongside short single-payment products, but availability depends on your state’s laws and the store. Searching for the cash store near me shows locations, not prices. An online request reaches lenders licensed in your state without a drive.

Are online personal loans cheaper than cash store loans?

Often, especially for borrowers with fair or better credit. Many storefront products charge a flat fee for a few weeks of credit, which works out to a much higher APR than a personal loan repaid over months. Compare the APR and total of payments on both before you decide.

Can I get cash the same day from a storefront?

Many storefronts can hand over cash the same day if you qualify, which is their main advantage. Online funding is often the next business day after approval. If waiting one business day is possible, the online route may cost less in total.

What should I ask a cash store before signing a loan?

Ask for the APR, the total of payments, every fee, the due date and whether the loan can be rolled over. Ask whether your car or a check is held as security and whether on-time payments are reported to credit bureaus. A cash money store should give you these answers in writing.

Why do people search for a cash store instead of a bank?

People who type “cash store near me” into a search bar usually need a small amount quickly and may have limited credit or a past bank decline. Storefronts are local, often open late and may skip a full credit review. An online request gives the same borrowers a way to see installment offers without a drive.

Can a cash store loan be refinanced with an online loan?

Some borrowers use an installment loan to pay off a short storefront balance and stop repeated rollover fees. Whether that saves money depends on the APR and total of payments on both loans. Check the storefront agreement for payoff rules and any fees first.

What services does a cash money store usually offer?

Most offer check cashing, prepaid cards, money transfers and small short-term loans, with products that depend on state law. Each service carries its own fee. Ask for the fee schedule before you use one, especially for loans.

Is a car title loan a good alternative to a personal loan?

A title loan uses your car as collateral, so missing payments can cost you the vehicle. Title loans are usually short and expensive. An unsecured personal loan puts no property at risk, which is why many borrowers compare one before visiting a title lender or a cash store.
